The Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communications have met the President and Chief Executive Officer of the media Corporation, Jamie Fly, Regional Director of RFE/RL's Central Asian Services, Hamid Ismailov and Director of the Kyrgyz service "Azattyk", Venera Djumataeva.
The dean of the faculty Aizhana Dzhumalieva met the guests and conducted a tour of the campus and the multimedia studio, where students have the opportunity to create video and audio content. Also, a personal meeting with the heads of the broadcasting organization was held for students and teachers of the faculty. They actively asked questions about the activities of RFE/RL and discussed the importance of independent journalism in the world and in Central Asia. Our guests have learned more about the university and how the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communications in particular works.
As a result, it was decided to strengthen cooperation between the Faculty of Journalism and the “Radio Liberty” on international level, so that students will be able to have internships within organization.
