September 6, 2021
The American University of Central Asia with the partnership of American Councils for International Education has successfully hosted the Critical Language Scholarship Program virtually from June 14-August 6, 2021.
The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government. It is an intensive overseas language and cultural immersion program for American students enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities.
During the program, students have been attending intensive Russian classes with teachers, cultural activities with guest speakers, virtual master classes on how to cook Kyrgyz food and handmade yurts but not only, they also made friends with language partners who were helping practice the language and sharing cultural information as much as they could.
Many thanks to our partners for this opportunity to host the program and the continued support we always receive. Without a doubt, the program students, teachers and staff contributed a lot to make it special this year and we want to thank them all here too.
