The Creative Writing Club: Author Talk with Dr. Zohra Saed

The Creative Writing Club is pleased to announce their next event, a conversation with special guest Dr. Zohra Saed. Dr. Saed is a poet, essayist, and scholar whose work frequently touches upon themes of ancestral memory, migration, and displacement. Born in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, she now lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She is the author of a forthcoming book on Langston Hughes's travels through Turkestan. She is also a co-founder of the independent publishing house UpSet Press, a co-editor of One Story, Thirty Stories: An Anthology of Contemporary Afghan American Literature, and a founding member of the Afghan American Artists and Writers Association.
