"Spring 2020 has brought unexpected changes to the lives of not only Kyrgyzstan but the whole world. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, AUCA decided to implement virtual classes. So from just attending classes on the campus, we moved to distance learning. We started using one of the most popular tools that are available such as Zoom, Cisco Webex, Google Meet, etc. This type of learning has brought advantages to the process of learning. Distance learning creates a very comfortable environment for work, I could plan my learning process as per my convenience instead of sticking with a fixed schedule. A very important thing was that we could reach our professors at any time we wanted. This access allowed us to ask questions and advice anywhere we were and they were. Online tools we were using allowed us to interact with the teachers face-to-face to resolve any kind of problems that appeared. Thanks to the time saved on traveling to the university I was able to increase my skills in Stata, the software which will help me a lot to write my thesis. Also, our professors helped each student personally by delivering different online resources (including videos, readings, presentations) to individual students so they can work on them in their own time."
