State of emergency in Bishkek: curfew

Starting from March 25, a state of emergency (SOE) introduced in Bishkek, Osh and Jalal-Abad (Nookat, Kara-Suu and Suzak regions). The curfew is imposed from 8 PM to 7 AM. During the current SOE it is required to follow below restrictions:

  • any kind of activities from 8 PM to 7 AM outside;
  • operation of all companies, except for grocery stores, pharmacies, banks and objects in the sphere of daily maintenance. The public transport (trolleybus only) will operate from 7 AM to 7 PM;
  • leaving the house or observation area while being in quarantine;
  • organization of mass events;
  • disseminating of fake information.

Note that it is prohibited to entry banks without masks. We also kindly ask you to have the documents with you (passport, ID card, and etc). The violators of public order, non-residents of Bishkek, including foreign citizens, will be expelled at their own expenses to their place of permanent residence or outside the area where SOE is declared. Moreover, in case of breaching the regime citizens will be fined or arrested for up to 15 days.
