The First Annual Student Thesis Symposium of Social Sciences “Writing Senior and Master Theses and Projects in Social Sciences”

On Saturday, December 1, the Division of Social Sciences held the 1st Annual Student Thesis Symposium of Social Sciences “Writing Senior and Master Theses and Projects in Social Sciences” at the American University of Central Asia.

The aim of the conference is to create a common platform to discuss and exchange students’ research theses and projects in the fields of social sciences such as Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Journalism and Mass Communication, and Television Cinematography and Visual art. Senior and second-year master students are required to present their theses and projects to their student fellows and faculty members in order to get a constructive feedback and promote their theoretical-methodological and analytical skills.

The presentations should include the following:

  • Topic
  • Research aim and questions
  • Methodology
  • Literature review
  • Preliminary findings and analysis (if available)

All other students and professors from all departments were welcome to attend the symposium with their questions and comments offered during discussion sessions.
