Students talk about the new campus of AUCA

December 16, 2015

A group of AUCA students in a Multimedia Skills course this semester have made a video about the university. The text below is also written by the students:

The first thing that comes to mind when you look at AUCA’s architecture from the outside is the mountains. The landscape of the campus is green and surrounded by mountains. And different seasons come and change the look of the landscape. There can be autumn, winter, spring or summer. The architecture of AUCA reflects Kyrgyz culture and history. When you enter the main academic building, it looks like an ultramodern space. There are dedicated classrooms, labs, dining, library, sport rooms and performance spaces need committed.

The new campus is not only a space to learn, but it is also space for modern art. One of the main things that makes AUCA’s campus unique is the modern art that surrounds the students. Every single wall has art that students and staff can appreciate. Each floor is distinguished with a variety of art themes.

One of the main parts of the campus to be proud of is its geothermal heating and cooling system. As the name suggests, the system harvests energy from the Earth. It means that the campus does not depend on the local heating system.
