Annual Anthropology Student Conference

Annual Anthropology Student Conference

October 1, 2015

Anthropology Program at the American University of Central Asia invites students from various universities of Kyrgyzstan and abroad to participate in the Annual Anthropology Student Conference "Exploring New Lands and Prospects in Kyrgyzstan and Beyond" to be held at the American University of Central Asia on October, 23, 2015.

Each year students of Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries are engaged in different field and research projects such as archaeological practice, ethnographic fieldwork, archive research and others. The conference aims to organize a platform for sharing and discussing students research findings “coming from the field”. The students of Anthropology Program will present their fieldwork data collected during both the ethnographic fieldwork in Georgia and the archaeological practice in the Issyk-Kul region. We expect all participants to exchange their knowledge and experience and learn from each other during the conference through leading interdisciplinary discussions, developing oral presentation skills, building strong interpersonal networks and conducting joint research.

Conference languages: Kyrgyz, Russian and English.
