Do we Have to be so Focused Upon our Difference?

Do we Have to be so Focused Upon our Difference?

March 25, 2015

We distinguish each other by our appearance, nationality, skin color and shape of eyes as well as by traditions, cultures and national dress. But do we need to do it? Maybe, is it worth to look at what unites us more?

More than 150 nationalities live in Kyrgyz Republic, but we still hear ethnic clashes take place in some regions.

One idea is strikingly expressed in publishing photos: “Any human might be anyone just wearing the national dress of other nationality”.

The photo-project prepared within the framework of “Promotion of ethnic equality and citizen participation”. The project is financed by European Union, co-financed and realized by DVV International in partnership with “Youth of Osh” Public Association and Youth Development Institute.

The project walkerstory.com thanks AUCA students and administration for their participation during the photography process.
