Last week, on September 10, 2014, more than eight AUCA Alumni were awarded by certificates of completing their internship at Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. The internship was based on studying various social issues in Kyrgyz Republic.
The book on the researches entitled as “Internship Program in Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic 2014” was released recently. The information is available in both English and Russian languages. It was released with the support of the state parliament, Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe – OSCE, and American Councils for international development.
The researches that AUCA Alumni were doing on various social issues had been published in this book of the internship program. The students, who had been doing their internship at Jogorku Kenesh, were working in groups of 2-3 people, with different specializations, conducting different surveys and researches.
AUCA Alumni Jamila Almazbek Kyzy, Shirin Tumenbaeva and Zarena Syrgak Kyzy were conducting a research on the topic “Raising Public Awareness on the Consumer Rights in Kyrgyzstan”. Other Alumni Raima Kalandarova, Aliaskar Adylov, Ulukbek Turdubekov, Jursun Ismail Kyzy did research on the topic “Mean of Reduction of Child labor in the Tobacco Sector on the Kyrgyz Republic”.
Many other interesting researches are included into the internship program book, namely “Preferential Religious Policies in Kyrgyzstan: Traditional Islam as Common Identity and Ideology against Extremism” and “The effects of illegal immigration in the Kyrgyz Republic: Suggestions to amend and enforce legislation», a research conducted by Asel Temirbekova, Akylai Tazabekova and Tagai Alimbaev.
