According to the parliamentary press service on September 10, the students were trained in Jogorku Kenesh, worked in various committees and departments of the Parliament based on their education and trainings.
Today, they presented reports on the results of their internship on the topics of reducing child labor, illegal immigration, and on the activities of the parliamentary oppositions.
The ceremony of awarding certificates was attended by deputies of Jogorku Kenesh, Dastan Bekeshev ("Ar-Namys"), Roza Aknazarova ("Republic"), director of the American Councils, Rebecca Gordan, an adviser for the institutional development of the OSCE Centre, Diana Digol, heads of interns, experts of the Jogorku Kenesh committees and representatives of the international organizations.
Deputies noted that the state government should be more actively involved in their work with young specialists and students.
D.Bekeshev voiced the idea of creating a special agency that will guide young people in their internships at various state agencies and industry.
"Thus, from now on, the guys will have a real idea of their future career and about what they will do in future," - he said.
It was marked at the parliament that the fellowship program is functioning third year and is administered by the American Councils for International Education, with the support of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek.
