Francekoul.com (Novastan.org) celebrates its second anniversary and offers a training in journalism aimed at young people of Central Asia in association with the Superior School of Journalism of Lille (France) and the American University of Central Asia (AUCA). The Francekoul.com team is pleased to welcome you and answer your questions during the training’s opening ceremony on October 28th at 9:00 am at AUCA.
Francekoul.com (Novastan.org) is a web journal dedicated to Central Asia that was launched during the autumn 2011 with the support of the Alliance Française in Bishkek. The project is non-profit and relies entirely on a team of volunteers. Articles published on the website are drafted in French by young people from Central Asia. The site’s content is characterised by complete freedom of expression, originality of information and critical analysis. Francekoul.com (Novastan.org) is also an educational project. Young writers improve their knowledge of the French language through exchanging, practicing and writing with the support of native speakers of French. The journal makes the
link between the French-speaking world and this rich cultural crossroads.
The training "Reportage from A to Z "
The training "Reportage from A to Z" gives motivated and talented young people from Central Asia a chance to deepen their working knowledge of journalism. The participants will discover the rigor and techniques of journalistic writing, as well as ethics of journalism, as these subjects are taught and practised in France. The training will take place on the premises of AUCA from October 25th to November 4th, 2013. The courses will be taught in both French and English by two professional French journalists.
Twelve participants were selected from amongst the best students and/or professionals in journalism and humanities. They come from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. Each intensive session during the eight day training course will be dedicated to creating reportages on Central Asia. The participants’ articles will be published on www.franc ekoul.com. This training has been organized in partnership with the Superior School of Journalism of Lille (France) and the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), the Alliance française of Bishkek and Kirghizfilm. It is subsidized by the French Institute of Paris and the Swiss Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
The project of Novastan.org
Francekoul.com is growing and is open to new horizons. To widen its readership, a German-speaking team has been created within Francekoul.com to produce German language articles. The Novastan.org project, a true bridge between regions and peoples of Central Asia and Europe. The first articles drafted in German soon will be published on-line on the new site of www.francekoul.com, which will be more interactive, friendly and pleasant to readers.
