The photo exhibition, ‘Parallel’ is organized in the framework of the project "‘Support to Prison Reform in the Kyrgyz Republic’, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

Based on the visits of three photographers: Alessandro Scotti (member of the International Association of Photographers and former UNODC Goodwill Ambassador), Alimjan Zhorobaev (Kyrgyzstan) and Maxim Shubovich (Kyrgyzstan); they present unique insights into prison life in the Kyrgyz Republic and the problems and challenges faced by the Kyrgyz Prison service.

The exhibition is open to the general public.
