Adilet Karzhoev is the Chair and an Assistant Professor in the Television, Cinema, and Media Arts department at the American University of Central Asia. He holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the American University of Central Asia (2019, Kyrgyzstan) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema Arts from the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (2011, Kyrgyzstan). 

Adilet joined AUCA in 2015 as the Coordinator of the Video Studio. In 2017, he became an Instructor; since 2022, he has been an Assistant Professor and Department Chair. He is a professional filmmaker, a producer, and a scriptwriter. Adilet’s filmography includes the short fiction film “Burul” (2022), the short documentary “Black Wagon” (2021), the full-length documentary “Barakholka. The Time Machine” (2020), the short fiction film “Carousel” (2019), the short documentary “Thank you, doctor!” (2016), and the short documentary “Sary-Oy” (2011).
