Dr. Nurgul Tilenbaeva is an Assistant Professor in the Economics department at the American University of Central Asia. She holds her Ph.D. in Development Economics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (2022, Switzerland), a Master of Arts degree in Economic Policy in Global Markets with distinction from Central European University (2012, Hungary), and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics of Finance and Banking (magna cum laude) from American University of Central Asia (2010, Kyrgyzstan). 

Dr. Tilenbaeva joined AUCA in 2019 as an Instructor in the Economics department. She was a student of the Swiss Program for Beginning Doctoral Students in Economics (2016-2017, Switzerland) and the Global Undergraduate Exchange Fellowship at Carroll College (2008-2009, USA).
