David completed his bachelor degree with a minor in Political science and a major in History at University of Montreal. He is currently undertaking a masters in Political science at this same institution. He specializes in the study of post-soviet world, specifically the Central Asian countries. His current work regards ethnic conflict and violence. As such his fieldwork in Kyrgyzstan consists of conducting qualitative interviews regarding the 2010 clashes in between the Uzbeks and Kyrgyz in Southern Kyrgyzstan.

David has an advanced understanding of both English and French languages, and a basic knowledge of Russian.
