Course Description:

This four-week-long course on the basics of Essay Writing is designed for students, who wish to learn about basic essay-writing rules, such as paragraphing, structural components, types of essays.  The course requirements seek to enable students to write essays on various subjects with sound structure and organization.  In order to keep track of the personal progress each student will be required to keep a portfolio with all lesson assignments and exercises.  Students will be also assigned some additional reading of literary works, which will help to enrich their vocabulary and get acknowledged with professional styles of writing.     

Course Objectives:

• To introduce students into the basics of writing process (planning, revising, drafting, etc.)
• To provide students with more information on structural components of the essay writing
• To familiarize students with different approaches in Academic Writing
