Prerequisite: Strong Intermediate level (The applicant will undertake a test allowing to determine his/her level before signing up for this course. The test consists of written and verbal parts lasting about 30 minutes. The applicant has to come to the CEC Office during working hours in order to write it.)

Course objectives

At the end of the course the students are expected to be able to:

Communicate in English on topics of Upper-Intermediate level both orally and in writing.
Use vocabulary and expressions that have General English applicability in appropriate ways.
Initiate and participate in conversations of General English topics on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
Develop and apply skills, including listening and speaking, for effective communication.
Handle more complicated grammar structures and categories of the language with confidence.
Express and defend personal opinion on General English related topics.

Course requirements:

Exam Scores – maximum score is 100 points, passing score is 60 points.

Certificate – certificate will be provided to those who achieve at least 60 points out of 100 for exit exam.

Attendance and active participation are going to give an undisputable positive result. A number of absences can affect students’ progress. That is why close attention and responsibility as well as devotion are needed to go complete the course successfully.
