Dear AUCA Family! An eventful year for the American University of Central Asia is drawing to a close, and I would like to take this opportunity to highlight remarkable moments and thank you for your tireless commitment and dedication to our university.

My name is Ulan Tolomushev, and I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2021. I am pursuing my Master's degree at the private Catholic University of Rome, LUMSA University, with a fully funded scholarship.

Ansgar Sasse, an exchange student from Germany, has embarked on an exciting educational journey at AUCA. He is a third-year student in Germany at Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, pursuing a degree in International Business and Economics.

On Monday, August 21, Orientation Oprogrma 2023 officially kicked off. The first day of Orientation is always a thrilling and memorable experience for freshmen and the whole AUCA community.

Our Summer School on “Challenging Human Rights Issues in Central Asia”, which was organized jointly with the Development Office and the International Business Law Department and sponsored by the Open Society Foundation, has ended. But let's recall together how it passed with us!

On July 26, 2023, the Institute of Education held a guest lecture on intellectual labor and hosted an honored teacher of the Kyrgyz Republic, winner of the Manas-Washington Award of the US Embassy, the prototype of the film ‘Agay’ Gapyr Madaminov.

Participating in an exchange program offers numerous benefits, such as cultural immersion, personal growth, and academic enrichment. The decision to participate in an exchange semester in Paris was driven by my desire to experience a new culture, enhance my language skills, broaden my perspectives, and develop a global network.

  GeoHub is  pleased to extend an invitation to all for a thought-provoking public lecture on the topic of "Ethics of Big Data and GIS: The Taming of the Big Brother?" Chrys Margaritidis, an esteemed expert in the field, will deliver the lecture.

At the end of April, the Anthropology Department of AUCA held a conference, "Central Asia: New Local Forms of Knowledge, Art, and Practice,” attended by scientists, researchers, and public figures from different countries.

On April 15th, the AUCA Development Office/Career Office organized one of the major events under the wings of the American University of Central Asia. Career Fair 2023 was attended by many students and companies who came to recruit, network, and have fun.
