My name is Firdavs Inomzoda, and I graduated from the Anthropology and International Development Department at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) in 2024.
I decided to participate in the Open Society University Network’s (OSUN) student mobility exchange program at Bard College Berlin to broaden my academic and cultural perspectives. The opportunity to study in a different environment and engage with high-quality professors was too valuable to pass up. Bard College Berlin was an attractive choice due to its strong reputation for interdisciplinary studies and its focus on critical thinking and global issues, which aligned well with my academic interests.
My experience at Bard College Berlin was incredibly enriching. The diverse academic environment and the emphasis on human rights and gender issues allowed me to deepen my understanding of these critical topics. The high-quality teaching and dynamic discussions helped refine my analytical skills and broaden my global perspective.
My studies at AUCA provided a solid foundation that prepared me well for the challenges and opportunities at Bard College Berlin. The hands-on approach to addressing global challenges I developed at AUCA complemented the advanced theoretical and critical perspectives I encountered during the exchange.
The exchange semester significantly enhanced my academic and personal growth, and I am grateful for the experience. It has prepared me for further studies and future professional endeavors, particularly in global studies.
