Guest lecture by Professor Markus Ziener

On March 15, the Journalism and Mass Communications department hosted a guest lecture by Prof. Markus Ziener in the “Ask Me Anything” format. Professor Ziener has more than 30 years of experience in journalism, with profound knowledge of economics, politics, business, and sociology. Professor Ziener is a Head of the Department of Journalism in HKMW Berlin and a journalist at NZZ and LA Times.

During this event, Professor Ziener answered the questions of students and faculty. He elaborated on becoming a successful journalist in the digital age, propaganda issues, and AI use in news writing. Professor Ziener also shared his experience working at the trouble spots and gave some tips on avoiding burnout in journalism.
