Meet the New AUCA Chess Champions!

On Monday, April 29, annual AUCA Chess Championship was held at the university where 37 players (students, faculty, and staff) took part in a challenging competition. The championship has been organized by the General Education Division.

The Swiss system for Chess Tournaments used, where each chess player must play seven games with seven different opponents.

Winners among male students:

1.       Shabiev Shaislam, BA
2.       Abdaliev Maksat, AMI
3.       Kasymov Makhmud, NGA

Winners among female students:

1.       Anastassiadi Anna, PSY
2.       Imanalieva Kanykei, SFW
3.       Kanatova Sezim, BA

Winners among faculty and staff:

1.       Karabaev Daniyar, LAS 
2.       Mansurov Artur, SFW
3.       Dzhilkichiev Marat, Security Service

All the winners were awarded certificates, medals, and prizes.

For the first time, the tournament has been available online at the International Chess Tournament Results Server. Results of the matches can be seen across the globe.
