Youth Council of Central Asia announces a call for applications to join Youth Council C5+1 program in which 30 young leaders of Central Asia will straighten the regional youth network, trust and will actively participate in civic engagement
Project description: In Fall 2016, AUCA in collaboration with U.S. State department has launched Youth Council C5+1 - a program in which 30 representatives of Central Asian region perform as a core group for organizing and participating in a series of workshops, trainings and seminars, debate tournaments, diplomacy-aimed events and small projects in civic engagement, all in support of reinforcing trust, mutual understanding and cooperation between Central Asian (CA) youth representatives.
Youth Council C5+1 aims educational and inspirational experience that will challenge students to engage on important topics under the supervision of specialists of certain spheres. Furthermore, as alumni of C5+1 Youth Council the students themselves will become mentors for University students in Central Asia who want to engage in the project. This is to strengthen involvement of students in solving social related issues and support the individual contribution in educating the others.
What we will do: The program will bring prominent group of experts to inspire and mentor 30 young leaders, to build the conversation, cultivate empathy and widen their circles of compassion. By the end of project we expect participants to develop their own recommendations that can make Central Asian countries more cooperative with each other.
For the year 2017-2018 Youth Council is aimed to complete the AGENDA below:
representatives of Central Asia on security, trade, collaboration, climate change and
other critical issues;
external investors, entrepreneurs, innovation and creativity driven communities
and others with a goal to disrupt markets and provide new economic opportunities;
youth representatives to educate participants on project management and social
involvement as well as to inspire them to be a true leader of their community;
security, environment and climate change, sustainable development, energy,
employment, gender, media and many others.
The benefits of being a member of YC C5+1:
By the end of the project, AUCA will provide certificates of successful completion and recommendation letters to YC C5+1 members. Moreover, outstanding members will have an opportunity to travel abroad under the Youth Council supervision within an educational trip.
