Dear AUCA students, faculty and staff!
The Tian Shan Policy Center in cooperation with the UNDP’s Rule of Law project, supported by the British Embassy to the Kyrgyz Republic is announcing call for research proposals concerning the rule of law. Researchers are invited to address the most pressing issues related with enhancing the rule of law in the Kyrgyz Republic and bring them to the attention of policy makers and the public.
Research proposals shall limit themselves to 1000 words and focus on the following areas:
Participants are also welcome to submit their own topics for consideration.
Independent and impartial jury composed of people from civil society, state bodies, academic institutions will select the three best research proposals at an open competition for the most topical issue, best research questions and best methodology proposed.
The realization of maximum three winning research proposals will be financially supported by the UNDP’s Rule of Law project, as well as their later public presentation.
Financial remuneration to complete the research is estimated at 2,400$. This includes all the field trip expenditures, interviews, fees to support additional experts etc.
Researchers shall submit a detailed budget.

Who can apply?
The deadline to submit the research proposals is October 31, 2016.
Best proposals will be selected by the end of November 2016.
Researchers will be given up to 3 or 4 months to complete the assignments. Public presentations of the completed researchers will take place in March-April 2017.
