On September 8, 2015 a group of enthusiastic students from the American University of Central Asia had the opportunity to have a conversation with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Nisha Desai Biswal, and the U.S. Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Sheila Gwaltney.
The university President, Andrew Wachtel, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Bermet Tursunkulova, also participated in the official meeting with the guests from the U.S. Embassy.
Nisha Biswal and Sheila Gwaltney discussed the importance of education for the prosperity and development of the Central Asian region, and wished the AUCA students a good academic year on their new campus.
