Amanda is originally from the UK and is currently studying for a Masters in Children,Young People and Family Wellbeing at Oxford Brookes University. She holds a Law degree from the University of Central Lancashire, qualified as a nurse at Guy's Hospital in London and then completed post graduate studies in community health at Southbank University, London.  She has worked in community health and community rehabilitation in both the UK and Central Asia with an emphasis on supporting disabled children and their families. Her current research focuses on the experiences of parents attending support groups for disabled children in Kyrgyzstan.
