We propose to host the Modernizing Curriculum towards the Goals of UN SDGs for Central Asian Universities – Climate Action and Sustainability Development workshop (further referred to as “the meeting”) at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA). Nestled in Bishkek city, the capital of Kyrgyz Republic, AUCA is a leading university in the Central Asian region with a flourishing academic community. As an institution of higher learning. AUCA is home to more than 60 staff with PhDs as well as 230 graduate students.
It is an international community, with staff and students from 20 countries with all courses taught in English. The 15 square kilometer campus includes world-class research facilities that attract 540,000 visitors a year. AUCA has already hosted many national and international meetings, and is well-known for its training courses targeted at Eurasian graduate students. AUCA is involved in many international academic collaborations.
