On 19 and 20 September, TSPC facilitated a workshop among its partners in Civil Society, primarily from the Osh and Jalal-Abad regions, to discuss international standards and best practices for the eradication of torture and abuse during detention and the potential for their implementation in the Kyrgyz Republic.

TSPC begins its next project on landscape baseline assessment of ecosystems and productive lands of waterside zone of the Lake Issyk-Kul for the Community Development and Knowledge Management under the Satoyama Initiative (COMDEKS) project in Kyrgyzstan

The Tian Shan Policy Center (TSPC) is now implementing its new project, Enhancing the capacity of NGOs and institutions to advocate for implementation of human rights decisions and standards to prevent torture. This work is proceeding within the framework of TSPC’s human rights program. The project is funded by the European Union.
 

On June 3-4, 2013, the Tian Shan Policy Center (TSPC) at the American University of Central Asia, together with the "Resource Centre for the Elderly” Public Association hosted the International Conference on Best Practices in Protecting Labor Migrants’ Rights and Perspectives of their Application in Kyrgyzstan.
 

On March 26, 2013 TSPC organized Roundtable Workshop “International Experience on Protection of Labor Migrants’ Rights and Its Application to Kyrgyzstan” as a second event within its project.

On November 30, 2012, AUCA’s Tian Shan Policy Center (TSPC) and Kyrgyz National Agrarian University (KNAU) named after K.I. Skryabin hosted a Conference on Food Security and Land Resources under a Changing Climate – Issues of Adaptation.  The Conference took place at the newly refurbished Science Library at KNAU.

TSPC has developed Report on Research Workshop "Protecting Rights of Kyrgyz Labor Migrants: Identifying Key Challenges" held in September, 2012. The Report reflects all issues discussed at the Workshop and summarizes key Research Agenda.

The Department of International Relations of the KNU Law Institute hosted a presentation of the "Contemporary International Law, Materials and Cases" resource book.

A presentation of the "Contemporary International Law - Materials and Cases" resource book was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University.
