This course is designed for international students in the NGA Program who have no or little previous background in Russian. It helps develop students’ phonetic base, grammar basics and ability to communicate in every-day situations like shopping, ordering food, taking public transportation, going to see a doctor, taking classes, etc.
This course is offered to graduates of high schools where Russian was the language of instruction. Students continue to develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Kyrgyz and learn to communicate in culturally appropriate ways.
