Tynymgul Eshieva is an Assistant Professor in the Journalism and Mass Communication department at the American University of Central Asia. She is a media and communications specialist with over 20 years of experience in international organizations' media development and public relations. She earned her MBA degree from the Academy of Management under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (2009, Kyrgyzstan) and a specialized degree with honors in Journalism from The Institute of Oriental Languages and Cultures at the Kyrgyz State University (2003, Kyrgyzstan).  

Tynymgul joined AUCA in 2017 as a part-time Instructor in the Journalism and Mass Communication department. She was a Humphrey Fulbright Scholar (2017, USA). She participated in communication activities of programs and projects funded by the Swiss Cooperation Office, International Organization for Migration, European Union, UNICEF, and Open Society Foundations. She is the author of a podcast about women in media - MediaKyzdar. She is working on her first documentary film and a project on emotional burnout prevention among journalists and activists. 

Tynymgul served as President of the Bishkek Toastmasters Club from 2018 to 2020 and has been a member of the Central Eurasian Leadership Program (CELA-Kyrgyzstan) since 2018. She has also been a board member of the Investigative Journalism Foundation since 2023 and of the Association of Fulbrighters in Kyrgyzstan.
