The Department of International and Business law provides high quality bachelor level legal education in international law and business law spheres. The curriculum and the program itself are designed in a way to enable students to obtain solid grounding in substantive law along with developing unique practical lawyering skills. As a response to rapidly developing needs in the legal market we have gradually expended our curriculum by focusing on independent, analytical learning, and practical skills building, including excellent communication skills, ability to think in the fast changing world, strong work ethic, critical thinking, reading, and writing as well as problem-solving. We make every effort to fulfill our mission by offering students the curriculum, which combines the best of international and national intellectual traditions.
AUCA Liberal Arts Human Rights Concentration is the first and the only undergraduate program of its type in Central Asia offering US accredited degree through a partnership with Bard College. It is aimed at preparing young specialists with inter-disciplinary background in human rights to serve not only in Central Asian institutions but also at the global level. Being a student of Human Rights Concentration will allow you to discover the entirely new world of specialty via the prisms of law, history, politics, sociology, film, media anthropology, regional studies and other fields. The rapid development of human rights and the compelling need of the Kyrgyz and Central Asian community for the experts in this particular field would enable the graduates of the program to be of vital importance not only in their local communities but in the region as well.
