Meghan earned a BA in Social Studies from Harvard University in 2008 and a JD from Yale Law School in 2014. She has been living and working in the Kyrgyz Republic since 2014 and speaks advanced Kyrgyz and intermediate Russian.
Meghan is the Executive Director of the Center for Civic Engagement, where she oversees both the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the university's civic engagement programming. She previously taught courses on human rights, gender equality, and family law in the AUCA Law Department and, before then, conducted self-led research on the rule of law and access to justice challenges as a Fulbright Fellow and a Robina Foundation Human Rights Fellow. She has consulted for UNDP, UNICEF, and UN Women on peace-building, gender beliefs and practices, and early childhood development in the Kyrgyz Republic.
