In late November, the Applied Geology program organized an educational excursion for students to the Geological Museum.

The annual meeting that units geophysicists all over the world took place in Washington D.C., December 2018.

The conference attended by Dosaly Esenaliev, Head of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and Ex-President of the Kyrgyz Republic Roza Otunbaeva, Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of AUCA Chingiz Shamshiev, as well as representatives of government authorities, IT companies and NGOs.

A book chapter “Migration from Central Asia: Thematic Analysis of Kyrgyz and Russian Language Online News Media” by Dr. Elira Turdubaeva and Alena Zelenskaia was published in a book “The Routledge Companion to Migration, Communication, and Politics” edited by Stephen M Croucher, Joao R. Caetano, Elsa A. Campbell and published by Routledge.

TSPC AUCA launched the Central Asia Energy News Digest from January 2019. The Central Asia Energy News Digest is issued twice a month and includes links to energy related news items from various electronic sources focussing on Central Asia.

The conference was held in December 2018 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.  Practices of violations and protection of labor rights of internal and external migrants in the territory of the Russian Federation were discussed during the event.

The Open House Day will take place on February 9 when the American University of Central Asia will open its doors to all high school students and their parents.
