The purpose of the Career Center is to provide active support to current AUCA students and alumni in planning their academic and professional careers. The Career Center will operate throughout the calendar year. In this way the activities of the Center could serve as a vital resource for the recruitment of new full- and part-time employees, and talented interns.

 

The Career Center will offer the following events and services:

 

Company Panel Discussions

Such meetings offer companies an opportunity to meet AUCA students and alumni on an informal basis. Company representatives sit on a panel, fielding questions from a room full of students and alumni while discussing various issues such as organizational culture, job activities, and industry trends.

 

Company visits/ On-campus presentations

Small groups of students, together with alumni and company executives visit the corporate headquarters.  Or, company representatives visit the university and conduct a presentation about their businesses. Such events could be used to showcase your objectives and career options to students.

 

Advertise in Career Center Publications

Take advantage of our connection with students and alumni and send us announcements for job openings and internships. These announcements will be published in the Career Newsletter, which will be distributed to students and alumni throughout the year.

 

Mock Interviews

 

Guest Speaking Opportunities

Special events and workshops will take place prior to the Career Fair to prepare students for employer meetings and interviews. You can support the Career Center and increase your company's visibility by volunteering to facilitate an event or workshop focused on one of the following topics:

    

  • Employer Panels;
  • Dress for Success;
  • Resume Writing;
  • Technical Resume Writing;
  • Interview Techniques;
  • Technical Interview Techniques;
  • Negotiating the Job Offer;
  • How to be Successful at the Career Fair;
  • Networking Strategies;
  • A Topic of Your Choice.

 

Sponsor Career Center Events

Get connected to the campus community by sponsoring events such as: Career Fairs, Career Nights, Career Panels, and other events planned throughout the academic year.

 

Become a Corporate Career Center Member

This is the best way to dramatically increase your organization's visibility and promote your company and/or organization through our networks.  Your organization will be prominently featured in the Career Center office and at all major events.
